Meet Our Staff

Hello! I am Pastor Philip Hamline. I accepted the call to become the pastor of First Baptist Granger in May 2016. I started out my adult life as a military officer in the US Army. I served for 17 years in multiple locations including South Korea. After getting married, I felt God was calling me into full-time ministry. That is when I left the military and entered into seminary training. After seminary I went to Stuart, Iowa to plant a church. I spent 4 years planting Heartland Baptist Church. In 2001, my family and I moved to South Korea to do church planting there. We spent 11 years studying the language and working on Jeju Island in the southern part of South Korea. In 2012, we returned to the United States. After a few years getting readjusted to life in USA, I accepted a call to become the pastor of First Baptist Church Granger.
